Imbolc 2010

The Celtic Reconstructionist Pagans of the Delaware Valley will be holding its Imbolc festival and feast on Feb 13, 2010.

We will meet and begin preparations at 5pm in a private residence in Media, PA. We will prepare the feast as a group, set up the ritual space and discuss the plan of the evening. Then offerings will be gathered by those presenting them and a simple Celtic Imbolc ritual will be performed by the group, followed by a great feast and good times amongst friends.

We ask that everyone bring their own set of dishes and utensils (to help reduce our impact on the environment and our host's household!) and a chair if possible. Those participating in the ritual will need a piece of natural fiber cloth which will be used as a "Brighid mantle", additional remnants of cloth if they have them and a plate to take home offerings on. Additionally, individuals can bring offerings specific for Brighid or items to be placed on her shrine for a blessing. Most of all bring your appetite. Our feasts are usually well attended and there is always an overabundance of food!

This event is open to all--Members of our Tribe, those considering joining our Tribe as well as any merely wishing to learn and have some fun with a great bunch of people.
